DENSO PRIMER D – BITUMEN TAPE PRIMER

Denso Primer D is a specialised primer designed for use with the Denso pipe-wrapping tapes.

Composition:

Fast-drying bitumen solution

Uses :

Denso Primer D is a fast-drying primer that maintains surface cleanliness of the pipe prior to tape application.

Characteristics :

• Improves cathodic disbondment resistance
• Dries rapidly even in cool conditions.

Surface Preparation :

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from rust, scale and non-adherent coatings. Preferably, the area will be grit blasted or well wire brushed.

Application :

Apply Denso Primer D evenly over the surface at a wet film thickness (WFT) of 90-110µm. Recommended dry film thickness (DFT) is 40-60 µm.

Denso Primer D can be applied at temperatures between 0°C and 55°C.

Availability :

5 L, 25 L and 200 L drums.

Storage Conditions : 

Store all components upright in original packaging in a cool, dry, area. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames.
